Salary: $100-$130K, with a bonus potential of 10-15% of annual salary

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for strategic and operational execution of the Supply Chain organization in support of all programs within the company. This position will lead and direct all facets of supply chain management, including purchasing, inventory management, material forecasting, sourcing, inventory control, and financial costing.

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field; MBA degree preferred
  • 10+ years of supply chain management experience in a high mix, manufacturing environment
  • Change agent with an eye for innovation; shows initiative, anticipates and prevents problems
  • Understand and apply Lean Manufacturing tools (Standard Work, TPI, Poka Yoke, 5S, Kanban/Material Planning, Visual Management, etc.) across operational and transactional processes is preferable
  • Proven ability to build and develop relationships cross-functionally
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain strategies in production and development situations across a wide variety of commodities/technologies; experience working with electrical and optical components is preferable
  • Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically; continuous improvement mentality
  • Excellent negotiation skills; strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of financial systems and cost reporting along with good financial analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior leadership and others in the organization

  • As the functional leader, responsible for materials and parts in support of Operations and Engineering
  • Lead the organization in the development and implementation of Sourcing and Procurement strategies
  • Oversee initiatives resulting in continuous improvement of Supply Chain through cost reduction, quality improvement, and lead time reduction
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, support, availability, reliability, production, distribution capabilities, transportation cost, and supplier's reputation and performance history
  • Develop and meet inventory goals that balance cash-flow, product lead-times (OTD), and inventory turn rates
  • Drive Lean initiatives within supply chain and support lean initiatives in other parts of the organization
  • Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts; responsible for ensuring government compliance
  • Participate in product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches
  • Establish annual goals and objectives and manage performance to ensure attainment
  • Develop a world class Supply Chain organization through staffing, training, and talent management initiatives
