  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Would consider the equivalent years of relevant exp; HS Diploma/GED but would need 4 additional years of experience, AA/AS in related field needs at least 2 years of additional exp).

Must haves:
  • Must have an Active in-scope SECRET Clearance
  • (5) years of experience related to Information Analyst or System/Network security.
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT level II (or higher) compliant.
Job Duties:
  • Utilize Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Under general technical supervision, perform network monitoring, analysis and reporting
  • Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS)
  • Information assurance vulnerability alert (IAVA s) collection of vulnerabilities for mitigation.
  • Responsible for VMS operation
  • Examine potential security violations, incidents, malicious activity and attacks to determine if policy has been breached, assesses the impact, and preserves artifacts.
  • Enter and track events and incidents.
  • Support incident escalations and assess probable damages, identify damage control and remediation, and assist in developing courses of action.
  • Supervise the installation, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and administration of IA hardware and software systems.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform IA system repairs, systems administration, and maintenance.
  • Utilize Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Work with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Utilize RETINA diagnostic scanning
  • Analyze patterns of non-compliance or attacks and recommend appropriate actions to minimize security risks and insider threat.
  • Configure, optimize, and test network devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve IA problems in response to reported incidents.
  • Implement and monitor policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operational procedures concerning Information Security.
  • Participate in IA risk assessments during the C&A process.
  • Diagnose and resolve IA problems in response to reported incidents.
  • Enhance rule sets to identify or block sources or potential sources of malicious traffic.
  • Support the design and execution of exercise scenarios.
  • Prepare, review, and evaluate documentation of compliance.
  • Prepare recommendations for the DAA.
  • Review IA and IA enabled software, hardware, and firmware for compliance with appropriate security configuration guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Review AI security plans.
  • Identify alternative functional IA security strategies to address organizational security concerns.
  • Review security safeguards to determine that security concerns identified in approved policies, plans, and doctrine have been fully addressed.
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and follow IA policies and procedures.
