  • Title: Blending or Blender Specialist
  • Salary: $13.00- 18.00 hour (Level I, II, and III lead)
  • Location: Tampa Bay/Clearwater area, Florida
  • Shifts available: 2nd Shift-3:30 PM to 12AM and 3rd Shift-11:30 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Job Duties:
    • Maintains computerized document control records management system and required standards including GMP (good manufacturing practices) and QSR (quality system regulation) requirements.
    • Set-up scales for weighing product.
    • Select English or metric units and tare weights per procedure.
    • Set-up pumps and motors to pump materials as needed.
    • Operate blending machines and liquid pumps.
    • Operate mixing/stirring machines.
    • Verify line readiness and line clearance.
    • Accurately weigh product using in Metric or English units.
    • Set-up lines and work area for blending: Containers, labels, scales, instructions, data collection sheets, etc.
    • Complete batch set-up records.
    • Accurately blend product in amount and sequence and timing as shown in written instructions.
    • Clean and use pre-mix containers as required.
    • Apply labels to containers as required to identify product/blends.
    • Report on production and quality goals.
    • Organize work load and machine loads to maximize output.
    • Accurately identify and record raw material part numbers or names Load/ unload boxes of containers, tops, product and packaging materials.
    • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
About this client: This client is a complete manufacturing and development company (CDMO), serving companies in OTC Consumer Healthcare, Rx Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Prestige Personal Care and Veterinary Medicine Sectors.

  • Receive instruction, guidance and direction from others well
  • 2 years' Blending experience in a cGMP environment
  • Pharmaceutical, Dermaceutical or Cosmetic experience highly preferred.
  • Experience mixing and blending lotions, creams and gels preferred
  • Must have exposure to FDA or similar regulated environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
  • Must have basic math skills to understand weights, blending/mixing formulas and to track production quantities.
  • Must be able to lift 50-70lbs on a regular basis.
  • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time on a regular basis
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
