Scope of project: SRG has a large manufacturing customer in the Sarasota area that is seeking a Product Technician.
Location: Sarasota, FL
Industry: Defense/Aerospace
Pay Rate: $16-$18/hour
Employment Type: Long term contract role with consideration for Permanent

Primary Job Function:
Assist with all aspects of the production floor requirements, including assembly and test of products. Provides Operator Training, Technical support and solutions to help resolve production problems related to Design intent, manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Build, Test, Inspect, products as intended to engineering specifications and standards, Drawings processes and procedures for conformance to ensure product quality.
  • Works closely with Quality to Inspects parts/materials using appropriate inspection devices, drawings, and methodology.
  • Documents nonconforming material (NCM) within TipQA ensures transactions have been completed.
  • Basic Knowledge of SAP.
  • Basic knowledge of TipQA Nonconformance module.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Work overtime or flex schedules as needed by the business

  • Must execute assigned Standard Work.
  • Must be able to work under deadlines

  • Technical writing
  • Evaluates test analysis from production failures, and customer returns for rework and disposition of customer returns.
  • Assists in development of production and testing procedures.
  • Assits supervisors in resolving production and testing problems. Maintains various production and test equipment.

Basic skills/needs:

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Associate Degree from an accredited institution in electrical, mechanical, or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of electronic/electrical specifications and standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, reach, squat, stoop, bend.
  • Ability to carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Vision requirements may include the ability to adjust focus, depth perception and close vision.
