  • Title: Compounding Operator
  • Location: Tampa Bay/Clearwater Area, Florida

  • Shifts Available:
    • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday; 3:00 pm-11:30 pm
    • 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday; 11:00 pm-7:30 am
    • Weekend Shift F/S/S; 1st Shift: 7am-7pm & 2nd Shift: 7p,-7 am (work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours)
    • Occasional overtime and weekends based on production needs
  • Salary: $15.00 hour+ based on experience plus $1.00 hour shift differential

Job Scope:
  • Maintains computerized document control records management system and required standards including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and QSR (Quality System Regulation) requirements
  • Set-up scales for weighing product
  • Select English or metric units and tare weights per procedure
  • Set-up pumps and motors to pump materials as needed
  • Operate blending machines and liquid pumps
  • Operate mixing and stirring machines
  • Verify line readiness and line clearance
  • Accurately weigh product using in Metric or English units
  • Set-up lines and work area for blending: containers, labels, scales, instructions, and data collection sheets
  • Complete batch set-up records
  • Accurately blend product in amount and sequence and timing as shown in written instructions
  • Clean and use pre-mix containers as required
  • Apply labels to containers as required to identify product and blends
  • Report on production and quality goals
  • Organize work load and machine loads to maximize output
  • Accurately identify and record raw material part numbers or names
  • Load and unload boxes of containers, tops, product and packaging materials
  • May be needed in other areas within manufacturing such as the packaging line
Skills Needed:
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within a regulated cGMP environment; preferably pharmaceuticals, chemicals or related industry
  • Basic math skills to understand weights, blending/mixing formulas and to track production quantities
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
  • Available to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Able to lift 50-70lbs on a regular basis
  • Able to stand for long periods of time on a regular basis
