  • Salary: Up to $26.00 hour paid weekly with benefits options
  • Employment Type: Contract 6 months with possible extension or conversion

Job Scope:
  • Assist in developing and implementing EHS SOPs and programs stay abreast of new EHS issues and/or regulations that may impact the sites
  • Risk assessments, inspections, and proper documentation and recordkeeping. (e.g, Hazardous Waste, Wastewater, Air Emissions, LOTO, Confined Space, IH Monitoring, EHS Inspections)
  • Assist the EH&S Manager and support site to be in compliant with Environment, Health and Safety regulations
  • Support in development and implementation of EHS procedures and programs.
  • Assist in development and delivery of EHS training programs
  • Coordinate EHS inspection program, incident investigations, and close out of corrective actions
  • Assist in implementation of environmental programs including hazardous and non-hazardous waste, wastewater and storm water, air quality
  • Assist in implementation of health and safety programs including lab safety manual, confined space, LOTO, safe work permits, ergonomic, industrial hygiene monitoring and controls program

Skills Needed:
  • Post-secondary certificate./Associates degree in applicable discipline in Environmental Sciences, Safety/Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental, Chemical Engineering
  • 3 5 years EHS experience in pharmaceutical, chemical or biochemical manufacturing environment
  • Environmental/Safety principles in areas such as water, waste, air emissions, industrial hygiene sampling, confined space, fall protection, machine guarding and safe electrical practices.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local government EHS laws, regulations, and rules
