Looking for an Enterprise Administrator to support our U.S. Army Network Enterprise Center (NEC) contract at Fort Lee, VA. This position shall: perform systems administration to ensure the systems are available to the user; monitor the systems and ensure they are operating at peak efficiency and identify and resolve any degradation, unusual activities or system downtime; and report any instances of system degradation, unusual activities and system downtime to the COR.

Job Duties:
  • Perform system backups and restoration in accordance with (IAW) local Government policies and procedures and in a way that is transparent to the users. Ensure the redundant file system structure (integral parts of some operating/network systems) operate in an efficient manner to ensure the data is current and accurate. Ensure that archived data and media is documented and handled IAW local Government policies and procedures.
  • Perform server administration to include the administration of, but not limited to, MS SCCM, Virtual Platforms, file, web, SQL, and printer servers. Install, configure, set up, test, troubleshoot, document, and decommission servers and associated equipment and hardware.
  • Perform customer service and support to include responding to service desk tickets, telephone requests, walk-in support requests and customer escort. Work with external Government resources to resolve customer issues. While doing so, the candidate shall ensure that all personnel understand the candidate s status as a non-Government employee. The candidate shall not obligate or bind the Government in any way, enter into any agreements on the Government s behalf, or exercise any Governmental discretion. The candidate shall provide technical information IAW COR direction.
  • Install and maintain software products as stated in TE 1.These products are expected to change over the life of the contract and will be redefined by the Government. The candidate shall coordinate installation of new software and update schedules with the COR.
  • Perform configuration management IAW local Government policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and test all computer systems and network components IAW the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) instructions to determine if the equipment is operating within OEM-specific ranges. Schedule inspections and tests not to interfere with the normal operation of the network. Obtain the COR s advance approval for all inspections that will interrupt normal duty operations. Maintain a continuing record of these inspections and tests using approved troubleshooting processing procedures.
  • Support with on-hand product analysis, network/system expansion analysis, system documentation analysis, user instruction or training, and system and network operations. The Government will make all decisions on hardware and software products. The candidate shall be required to analyze requirements and propose best solutions for network approaches.
  • The candidate shall assist the Government with cybersecurity functional support for assessments, authorizations, and documentation of fielded systems managed by Fort Lee.
  • The candidate shall aid Fort Lee with its Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
  • These efforts may include utilizing the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) to record RMF activities such as control implementation of all applicable Security Controls as identified via information system security categorization in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 (security controls are broken down into individual, measurable, statements called assessment procedures or Control Correlation Indicators (CCIs)) in accordance with DoDI 8510.01 (Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT)).The number of families and controls will vary depending on the security categorization (C-I-A), the application of overlays (privacy, classified, intelligence, etc.) and any security control tailoring.
  • The candidate will assist the Government Capability Manager / Information System Owner (ISO) in ensuring that the information systems are configured in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), applicable patches and other cybersecurity requirements.
  • The candidate shall provide support for the independent assessment of compliance of information systems with DoD RMF standards using DoDI 8510.01.
  • The candidate shall have experience with DoD security hardening, collection and assessment tools (STIGs, ACAS SCAP, Nessus, etc.) and experience with security architectures, firewalls and network access.
  • The candidate shall possess experience in cybersecurity documentation and system authorization artifacts (System Security Plan, lifecycle documentation, continuous monitoring plan, Security Assessment Plan, Security Assessment Report, Risk Assessment, etc.).
  • The candidate shall have knowledge of and review the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Knowledge Service - https://rmfks.osd.mil/rmf/Pages/default.aspx - which is the DoD s official site for enterprise RMF policy and implementation guidelines.
  • The candidate will review and ensure that any RMF activities on behalf of Fort Lee adhere to the operational Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and Operations Orders that are hosted on the US Army Component Workspace Operations tab of the RMF Knowledge Service. The TTPs provide amplifying guidance and process implementation for the Army regarding RMF.
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • VMware Data Center Virtualization Certification, MCSA WIN SVR 2012/2016 and Security+ CE (Baseline IA)
  • Knowledge of Virtual Machines (VM), Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Area Storage (NAS), Clustering, Active Directory, AD Group Policy Management, Windows Internet Naming Services (WINS), Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
  • High proficiency with TCP/IP protocol.
  • Hardware knowledge with server platform equipment required including extensive knowledge of Ethernet networks, server and PC hardware, personal digital assistants (PDA), network printers, and storage technology.
  • Knowledge of Windows architecture and internals, including file system, registry, networking, and security.Knowledge of windows installation and deployment methodologies to include creation and customization of unattended installation scripts.
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, configuring and troubleshooting networking operating systems.
  • Experience in deploying software packages in a Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with various software products (ex. Symantec Backup Exec or NetBackup) that perform and maintain backup resources.
