  • Hours: Monday Friday, 7am-3:30pm with on call rotating weekends
  • Salary: $20.00/hr-$23.00/hr.

Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing safe, timely and cost effective repairs to the facility and any on-site equipment. This individual must be able to anticipate equipment malfunction and take appropriate action to prevent failure. Successful execution of this role results in efficient plant operations, minimal production down time and smooth operation of all facility-related equipment.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Troubleshoot and remedy problems relating to the facility and any of its components, including but not limited to: HVAC, Boilers, Water Treatment Systems (DI systems, Softeners, Filters), Interior Lighting, Plumbing, Doors and Closers, chaning air filters
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Coordinate monthly pest control and document
  • Transfer various supplies throughout the facility
  • Complete daily checklist of assigned tasks to ensure proper facility operation.
  • Utilize general building trades to provide repairs or improvements to the facility.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury or accident.
  • Must be familiar with best safety practices, including lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry Procedures and injury/near miss reporting
  • Escort and assist contractors with repairs and preventative maintenance as needed
  • Log work performed into CMMS daily
  • Complete jobs in a timely manner
  • Keep work and shop areas clean and organized
  • Effectively communicate with internal customers regarding job status
  • Requires a high school diploma
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical or related environment is preferred) with focus in the areas of facility maintenance
  • Must be very proficient in the use of power and hand tools, HVAC, Boilers, Water Treatment Systems (DI systems, Softeners, Filters), Interior Lighting, Plumbing, Doors and Closers.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and good communication skills
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders and work at heights 6 to 25 feet
