Job Title: Financial Analyst I
Location: Elizabeth, NJ
Work Hours: MON-FRI 8AM - 5PM
Salary: $26hr (Paid weekly)
Job Status: 4 Month Contract - Possible Extension
The purpose of this role is to directly assist the site controller in compiling data required to complete all financial activities at the site. The primary areas of impact are: Management reporting, Planning & Forecasting, Capital Expenditures, Inventory and Fixed Asset Management, Product Cost Development, compliance and continuous improvement.
Support the Accounting and Finance operation team through regular scrutiny to ensure accuracy of general ledgers, cost center and profit center accounting, monthly provisioning, fixed asset capitalization, preparing data/schedules required for statutory and tax audits.
Planning and Forecasting:
Assist in the overall planning and forecasting process of the site according to global guidelines.
Compile analyze and present volume, headcount, capacity, expenses, capital expenditure, inventory KPI s and other relevant financial information.
Recommend inventory adjustment to Accounting in order to enable accurate financial statements. Monito and report to Global Accounting triggering event which could lead to asset impairment. Audit support for internal/external audit purposes Fixed Asset, Inventory, and other as required.
Product Cost Development:
Implement Activity Based Costing according to global costing guidelines and coordinate project for system implementation or enhancement; ensure ongoing adherence to global costing guidelines. Ensure material cost reflect the correct bill of material prices and yield efficiencies. Include updated routing data, fix and variable production expenses.
Education: BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering
5 yrs. general accounting with emphasis on inventory and costing processes
Adequate understanding of quality and manufacturing
Adequate knowledge of compliance and controls
Adequate knowledge of accounting principles, costing methodologies and management accounting
Adequate practical experience in financial planning and control
Adequate financial, analytical and modeling skills
Specialized or Technical knowledge:
Oracle (11.5.10 or greater) Standard Costing
ERP Standard costing
Excel (2010 or higher) complex functions and formulas (pivot table, look up tables, graphs, importing and exporting.
Essbase (Hyperion) reporting
Act with High integrity
Ability to collaborate in a team environment
