We currently have a unique opportunity to add an experienced Vice President, Finance to oversee all areas of accounting and to work with Ownership to continue to grow the owned portfolio. This is a broad leadership role in an entrepreneurial environment that will interact with and impact all functional areas and be a key component in the next stage of growth for the companies. The VP, Finance will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

  • Preparation and timely delivery of monthly financial statements
  • Preparation and timely delivery of underwriting package (cost certs, financial covenants, testing)
  • Preparation and timely delivery of forecasts and budgets
  • Preparation and timely delivery of detailed reports to Ownership
  • Develop robust financial models and perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling
  • Interact with investment brokers, visit target properties, and conduct market analyses
  • Participate in strategic planning and budget processes
  • Provide quarterly compliance reporting
  • Manage internal fund waterfalls for GP and LP ending capital account calculations
  • Selection and implementation of budgeting, planning and forecasting tools
  • Analysis, development, and implementation of strong financial, accounting, and development practices, policies, and procedures
  • Analysis, recommendations, and implementation of cost savings strategies
  • Monitoring and reporting of all developments performance, comparing actual to budgeted for all assets and joint venture activities
  • Development of existing and new banking and financial relationships
  • Other financial, administrative, and accounting functions as needed or required to assist the organization

Public accounting experience in auditing and tax a plus
  • 3+ years of LIHTC experience with development through Conversion and Property Management with compliance
  • Financial reporting experience with development, property management and corporate
  • Strategic mindset
  • Stickler for Policies and Procedures, along with documenting and implementing
  • Management experience required
    • Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience engaging property management and community partners.
    • Role has a financial reporting manager and an Accounting Manager - 7 employees total
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with executive-level Board of Directors
  • Software experience:
    • ResMan a plus
