Inventory Control Lead

Title: Inventory Control Lead
Location: Somerset, NJ
Industry: Pharmaceutical and Chemical Manufacturing
Shifts Available: Day shift - 8am-5pm
Salary: Up to $24.00/hour based on experience
Employment Type: 6-month contract (Possible to go perm)


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure accurate direct material inventory (raw materials, in process, finished goods) and stock of indirect materials.
  • Ensure acceptance, physical count(s), description information, and integrity of labels and documentation for inventory goods per SOP.
  • Timely issuance of materials to operations for use on manufacturing. Also ensure timely return and reconciliation of all goods and materials from manufacturing.
  • Monitor levels and reorder stock supplies supporting operations, engineering, product development, and analytical activities as needed in partnership with Supply Planning.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of materials within inventory and ready for use in manufacturing.
  • Compliant storage and handling of solvents, rejected materials, materials on hold as well as processing of all materials to be returned or destroyed in compliance with site SOPs.
  • Perform transactions in JDE as required (including receipts, adjustments, transfers, shipments)
  • Perform timely cycle counts as required
  • Maintain annual certification requirements for DOT, IATA, RCRA
  • Support investigations related to quality discrepancies and Trackwise events.
  • Standup/Sit-down Forklift certification
  • Escort outside vendors/customer/regulatory tours as needed.
  • Additional duties/projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma or 3+ years inventory management/warehouse experience
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years inventory management/warehouse experience in biopharma manufacturing environment

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Must be computer literate with past experience using ERP systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of cGMP
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc).
  • Language requirement: English
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to easily learn and retain technical information.
  • Well organized with ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Good problem-solving skills, including innovative and creative solutions.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments.
