Title: Maintenance Engineer I
Location: West Chester, PA
Industry: Pharmaceutical and Chemical Manufacturing
Shifts Available: 3rd shift; 11PM-7AM or 10PM-6AM.

Salary: Up to $26.00/hour based on experience
Employment Type: 6-month contract (Possible to go perm)


Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on cGLP, cGMP, cGEP equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. System operation includes, but is not limited to, clean steam, chilled water, cooling towers, compressed air systems, Bioreactors, Centrifuges, Lab Analytical and Bench top equipment, CIP skids, RO/DI and pharmaceutical grade water systems (WFI water) equipment under cGxP operation.
  • Thoroughly perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on all equipment and systems in order to maximize facility uptime and equipment availability.
  • Assist in developing new equipment PM procedures, LOTOs and SOPs as assigned by Management.
  • Assist validation as required with IQ/OQ of equipment or systems.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools as well as shop equipment including drill press, milling machine, lathe, welder, grinders, etc.
  • Help maintain appropriate critical spare parts inventory for Utilities and process equipment.
  • Operate the Process Automation System (PAS) to validated standards.
  • Perform technical review of work performed by BOSS personnel.
  • Perform Technical review of work performed by contractors and outside vendors.


Applied Science or technical degree in a maintenance trade or equivalent combination of post-secondary education, technical training and/or work experience associated with mechanical and/or electrical fields;

Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates the ability to provide timely feedback to Management and customers regarding work, procedures, schedules, etc.
Previous maintenance experience.
Capable of ordering, replacing parts with minimal delay for stock.
Develop new procedures/guidelines for calibrations for new processes and instruments.
In-depth understanding of facility and manufacturing related equipment.
In-depth understanding of on-site equipment and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
