Manufacturing Technician

Our Client is partnering with several Pharmaceutical companies to help distribute the much-anticipated COVID-19 vaccines to help put an end to this ongoing pandemic. To provide this life-saving medication, as well as the many other life-saving medication manufactured at the facility, to patients, we will be conducting mandatory COVID-19 testing for all employees who are working onsite. This will ensure the health and safety of our employees who are at the forefront of putting our Patients First.

  • Hours: M-F (2nd shift) 4:00pm 12:15am
  • Salary: $28.15/hr. (Paid Weekly - Benefits Available)
  • Employment Type: 6 Month Contract

Job Scope:
Responsible for, as per training administered, work related to equipment repairs and changeovers, preventive maintenance activities, corrective troubleshooting on machinery and associated electrical/ electronic devices, equipment inspection and installation, equipment system performance improvement. Performs all work in accordance to company policies, procedures and regulations contained in company GMP S, safety standards, SOP s and housekeeping standards, etc. Ensures that all production equipment is set up correctly and that it operates as required
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: Responsible for mechanical/ electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting, process improvements, equipment changeovers, fabrication of machine parts on packaging machinery, as per training administered

Job Characteristics:

  • Demonstrate competency on all requirements for a Packaging Mechanic
  • Performs all work in accordance to company policies, procedures and regulations contained in company GMP S, safety standards, SOP s etc.
  • Demonstrate competency in electrical safety
  • Performs minor machining and shop work including part modification and fabrication
  • Demonstrates mechanical-troubleshooting abilities, identifies and resolves issues utilizing systematic problem-solving methods
  • Describe and understand the components for various equipment
  • Read and understand equipment operation and maintenance manuals, and technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Changeover designated packaging lines such as blistering, bottling, and other specialty packaging equipment
  • Performs equipment repairs and upgrades
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on designated equipment
  • Provide guidance, assistance and team leadership
  • Maintains records and documentation as required
  • Maintains work area, tools and equipment in a clean and safe order. Provide guidance, assistance, leadership, and training to other Mechanics
  • Exhibits flexibility acquired through training to be utilized at any position as needed in the company, or elsewhere in the facility, or as a trainer

Must Have Requirements:
  • Machinery parts and assemblies, piping and fittings, lubricant, solutions, welding materials, electric/ electronic devices, changeover parts as per training administered
  • Various hand and power tools, machine shop equipment, welding equipment, electrical testing equipment, measuring instruments and other devices required used in the setting up and testing of Clinical s packaging equipment as per training administered

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT:
  • High School diploma required and the ability to read and write English

EXPERIENCE:
  • Combination of Ten- (10) years equivalent experience as a packaging maintenance mechanic, mechanical maintenance mechanic or electrical maintenance mechanic with the equivalent technical training
