Patient Care Representatives to work long term contract in Overland Park, Kansas:

Must Haves:

  • Resume must demonstrate stable employment history.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience in a healthcare office or fast-paced, highly interactive customer service environment - experience in the medical industry with scheduling and verifying insurances preferred.
  • Must be computer literate with good working knowledge of medical terminology and patient documentation.
  • Conversational, patient and confident, with a positive attitude
  • Excellent judgment and customer service skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and strong time management skills.
  • Ability to function in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Education: Associate s Degree or HS/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience

Job duties:

  • Enroll new customers to Patient Services
  • Basic data entry skills and the ability to type.
  • Understanding of health records systems, including filing systems, medical terminology, ICD-10-CM coding principles, concurrent and discharge analysis procedures, medico-legal aspects and possess management skills for a long-term care center
  • Record activities in the patient database and follow up to secure services
  • Act as the first point of contact with new patients
  • Complete various special projects as required
  • Record activities in the patient database and follow up to secure services (such as product training, mailing of promotional materials, etc.) for our customers by contacting physician s offices, pharmacies, and other external entities to ensure the client is meeting the patient s needs
