    • B.S./M.S. Degree in Engineering or combination of education and 10 years work experience;
    • Possesses strong engineering skills and understandings of the design and composition of most existing products
    • Familiar with PLC concepts and programming, Automation/Robotics, and vision inspection systems
    • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular engineering field (e.g. FMEA, Cause and Effect analysis, Fault Tree analysis, etc.)
    • Time and motion studies and line/process balancing.
    • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) within an industrial environment.
    • Familiar with Process Safety Management (PSM) plans or equivalent.
    • Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events.

    • Works independently in assigned area and applies seasoned knowledge to many engineering disciplines
    • Identifies and implements solutions for issues relating to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions.
    • Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
    • Prepare and write ECP s, RFW s, and RFD s
    • Provides guidance to maintenance personnel and actively participates in the decision-making process on equipment performance and design improvements.
    • Provide and/or ensure generation of all supporting documentation (WIs, Process Flowcharts, Maintenance records/work orders, etc.).
    • Determines root cause of failure using statistical methods (e.g., design of experiment, SPC) that may result in changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.
    • Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
    • Provide support to R&D and Project/Product engineering tests, FAATs, and equipment commissioning.
    • Participate in LEAN initiative and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements.
    • Support Safety engineering to ensure the completion of the Process Safety Management Plan (PSM) for the assigned program.
