A growing pharmaceutical company is looking for a 2nd shift Material Prep/Compounders to join their team. This is a contract to permanent position paying up to $15/hr and potential for increase in salary once one goes permanent.

Position Summary:
  • Title: Machine Operator
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN

  • Shift: 1st 5:45a-6:15p | 2nd 5:45p-6:15a (2-2-3 sched)
  • Education: Associate s Degree or HS/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to setup and start the production processes.
  • Responsible to shutdown and internally clean the process equipment.
  • Responsible to continuously monitor equipment and instrumentation safely, and with minimal guidance. Equipment may include, but not be limited to: mills, blenders, shakers, PLC s, water systems, pumps, extruders/dispersers, forklifts and hand trucks.
  • Ensure all documentation is cGMP compliant.
  • Adhere to safety and quality protocols including uniforms, hairnets, beard covers, safety glasses, hardhats and hearing protection.
  • Responsible for some equipment maintenance and improvements.
  • Responsible to identify/communicate continuous improvement opportunities
  • Performs other general tasks as guided by management.
Required skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years within manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical or related industries is highly preferred)
  • Proficient math skills, reading comprehension skills, mechanical aptitude and dexterity
  • Ability to comprehend detailed written instructions and procedures
  • Must also be able to discern colors and possess the physical ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
  • One may have to drive a forklift or operator other machines
  • One must pass drug test, background check, reading/comprehension and math skills assessment test
