Job Summary:
As a Quality Engineer you will oversee all Quality functions for assigned program(s) to assure adherence to applicable quality requirements. Review new contracts to determine the quality assurance requirements and supplier flow down requirements. Develop plans and methods for assigned programs to assure adherence to all contractual quality requirements and Company policies and procedures.
Work Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review quality requirements and develop necessary plans, procedures, and process to ensure compliance for all assigned programs
  • Serve as quality expert for assigned program and work with the integrated product team to achieve program goals
  • Lead program related failure investigations from root cause analysis through corrective action and report to internal and external customers
  • Assist Quality Management in maintaining the ISO-9001 Quality Management System and all company procedures and policies as required
  • Maintain adherence to Company policies and procedures, safety and environmental standards, and good housekeeping practices
  • Maintain good employee relations, and adherence to Affirmative Action Plan, Labor Laws, and EEO rules and regulations


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. Degree or B.A. degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial Engineering or Mechanical) or Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • 3-5 Years experience in an industrial/manufacturing industry preferred
  • Background in data analysis, math and statistics
  • Proficient with MS Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access or Power Point
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Able to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
