Senior Network Engineer Secret Clearance
SRG is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to provide expert leadership, analysis for design, development, implementation, test and analysis of technical projects as assigned.
The Sr. Network Engineer will recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of product and/or procedures.

This is a long-term, 4+ year contract (PTO and comprehensive benefits included).

Job Requirements:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 10+ years of Cisco & Juniper engineering experience in an enterprise or carrier-class environment
  • IPv6 protocol knowledge, experience, and expertise required
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering, Information Technology or computer science and fifteen (15) Years Experience or Master s degree in engineering, Information Technology or computer science and ten (10) Years Experience
  • Strong Junos skills, including SRX and MX series experience
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 3, BGP, OSPF and Spanning Tree
  • Cisco (CCNP or above) certification strongly preferred (but not required)
  • Strong customer interfacing, communication and documentation skills
  • Must have previous Internet Service Provider (ISP) and/or IT industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of network applications interoperability and IT industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer/reporting skills, including a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to work under aggressive project schedules
  • Displays sense of urgency, tenacity & follow-through
  • Documented experience with implementing IPv6 on existing large-scale IP networks that employ carrier-class MPLS-IP technologies
  • Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research.
  • expert in design, implementation and optimization of carrier class networks.
  • Analyzes performance measurement & statistics to improve network efficiencies & identify potential problems.
  • Develops detailed recommendations for changes & process improvements.
  • Develops performance standards.
Job Duties:
  • Interface with client engineers to verify completeness and accuracy of the IPv6 transition plans
  • Coordinate to ensure proper network configurations and delivery schedules are met
  • Coordinate to ensure proper IPv6 routing configurations are adhered to
  • Coordinate to complete IPv6 demark extension and connectivity with security boundaries
  • Coordinate and document IPv6 connectivity testing once the site is built out
  • Coordinate IPv6 circuit turn-up testing.
  • Coordinate handoff to Operations team for acceptance testing
  • Provide routing & switching IPv6 technical support for new equipment
  • Create and update as-built documentation and diagrams
