Location: Conley, GA with up to 35% travel to other US locations

Salary: $70.00/hr. - $75.00/hour paid weekly w. benefits options
Employment Type: Contract with the option to go permanent may also consider a direct hire (permanent position)

Summary:
This position is responsible for providing technical leadership and direct support in the execution and delivery of large Capital projects, including adherence to schedule and budgets, engineering design of new facilities (Basis of Design, Conceptual, and Detailed Design), and leadership of cross functional teams consisting of internal customers such as Manufacturing, Manufacturing Science and Technology and Quality Assurance to properly identify design needs.
  • Plans, directs and monitors project planning and execution activities for assigned projects in the field of Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) in a safe, compliant effective and innovative way.
  • Fosters and shares best practices for EI&C planning, installation and plant maintenance activities for all LSI (Specialty ingredients) sites in US.
  • Coaches other Engineers and contract staff
Description:
  • Deliver capital projects on schedule, within budget and according to specifications and functionality
  • Has accountability for the budget of the assigned projects
  • Has accountability for assigned engineering work and projects, including coaching and supervising of project team members in matrix organizations
  • Supports adequate staffing of his project teams in order to meet assignments. Develops knowledge on process automation.
  • Provides SME support to Operations and other departments for the design and operation of process automation installations.
  • Provides state of the art documentation of all EI&C (electrical instrumentation and controls) installations
  • Actively supports the safety culture by applying the relevant local safety policies and guidelines.
  • Accountable for budget of assigned various projects
Qualification:
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field, MS or MBA is highly desired and degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering is highly desired.
  • Highly desired certifications; ACCA, GPHR, CIPS, PgMP
  • Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell is desired
  • Project management and coordination experience associated with the execution of capital projects in manufacturing environment is required
  • Experience implementing automation solutions in chemical, biotech/pharma or medical industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing equipment tech transfers
  • Experience with control systems (PLC, DCS, Loop controllers), upgrade design, programming
  • Able to travel up to 35% to other US locations. Primarily working at both Conley and Alpharetta, Georgia site.
  • 5-10 years chemical, biopharmaceutical or related industry experience
  • Empowers and encourages others to bring new ideas forward, mentors and trains
  • Excellent communication skills internally and to customers
  • Leads multiple automation projects simultaneously, able to work in a fast paced environment and deadline driven, highly independent and organized
