Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Harleysville PA (Hybrid 2-3 days in office)
Industry: Pharmaceutical

Salary: $27 and up an hr. depending on experience
Position Summary
The Financial Accountant performs a variety of tasks that fulfill the day-to-day needs of the accounting department. This individual should possess basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. They should be able to answer business-related questions in their area of responsibility. The Financial Accountant should also demonstrate a knowledge of accounting concepts and be able to apply those concepts to accurately record financial data. This position reports to the General Accounting Supervisor.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Key participant in month-end close process:
- Maintain Monthly Expense and Balance Sheet Trend Analysis
- Maintain Monthly Recurring and Reversing Journal Entries
- Reconcile and analyze Balance Sheet accounts including bank reconciliation and pre-paid accounts
- Prepare Month End Manual Journal Entries
- Review P&L and Balance Sheet for errors
- Assist in all aspects of fixed asset accounting including depreciation, budget, subledger maintenance, and account analysis
- Support internal and external audits
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1-3 years experience in finance/accounting. Experience in a large company or public accounting preferred
- Basic accounting knowledge and familiarity General Ledger Accounting
- General Ledger Accounting experience Required
- Good communication skills, both oral and written and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Oracle, Business Intelligence, and Hyperion experience a plus
