Accounts Receivable Specialist
Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)
Industry: Defense
Salary: $24/hr. and up based on experience

This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services including processing and monitoring AR payments and invoices.

This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services including processing and monitoring AR payments and invoices.
Essential Duties:
- Processes government invoices in WAWF, or VIMS and Commercial Invoices to customer within one day of invoicing through SAP, maximum 3 days from shipment
- Deposit/cash application of payments received from customers
- Backup for weekly cash forecast/reporting
- Collections: Monitors AR report on a weekly basis and follow-up ensuring customers are not in arrears, credits are cleared, and small balances reviewed for adjustment
- Files invoices, paid statements, contracts and payments on a daily basis
- Processes all month end activity in accordance with closing schedule
- Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent experience desired
- Three years of general accounting experience and proficiency with accounting applications
- Experience in invoicing, cash application and collections
- Some accounts payable experience desired
- Government defense background preferred
- SAP experience preferred
