Aerospace Capture Manager

Location: Huntsville, AL (remote)
Industry: Department of Defense
Salary: Up to $220k/yr.
Clearance: Ability to obtain TS/SCI

Summary: Play a pivotal part in orchestrating capture and shaping activities essential for securing new accounts, recapturing expiring projects and programs, and broadening our footprint into adjacent markets beyond our current client base.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent military experience.
  • Prior government/military service in core business areas of aviation, airfields, logistics, services, and fuels.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Business Development and capture management efforts in the Federal and specifically the DOD contracting environment.
  • 4+ years of experience with proposal process in DOD contracting environment.
  • Experience in technical writing.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Active Secret clearance preferred, ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Responsibilities:
  • Conducts market assessments and drives capture activities to fuel growth within our Aerospace sector.
  • Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities, overseeing capture management and proposal development processes.
  • Maintains accurate opportunity pipelines across multiple business lines, with a focus on aviation contractor logistics support, equipment maintenance, air operations and squadron support and training. Key clients include the U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy, DoD Foreign Military Sales: Department of Homeland Security; Department of Energy; NASA; U.S. Coast Guard and other Federal clients.
  • Participates in the development of long-range strategic business plans specific to our targeted Aerospace markets.
  • Supports the Senior Business Development and corporate leadership in staying aware of and preparing new business development opportunities, including: Upcoming business development targets; Market outreach events; Contract Industry Day events; Other important outreach events.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with new and existing customers through networking and professional events.
  • Performs initial analysis of proposed or actual request of capabilities and RFP s to determine technical, schedule, and content reasonableness, and profitability in the following specific areas:
    • Aviation full Contractor Logistics Support (CLS)
    • Aircraft and Engine Maintenance to include aircraft expertise and aircraft engine expertise
    • Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance and Overhaul
    • Flight Line Support to include aircraft line maintenance, de-icing/anti-icing services, aircraft ground handling and operations services
    • Aviation and general Logistics and OCONUS support activities
    • Performance-based and integrated logistics services (PBL & ILS)
    • Alongside Fueling and Bulk Storage contracts
    • Assist in evaluating potential business acquisition
  • Determines teaming requirements for Prime efforts; identifies and qualifies industry partners and identify teaming opportunities for subcontracting opportunities.
  • Provides proposal development support, as needed, to meet growth objectives.
    Serves as a Subject Matter Expert writer for the company business development proposal efforts.
  • Works collaboratively with other assembled members of the company to design, develop, and publish proposal documents.
  • Coordinates and conducts proposal review teams.
  • Provides support in the development of the Technical, Management, and Cost Volumes.
  • Interacts with parent company and shareholders to ensure a strong positive image.
