Job Description

A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Technician

Salary: $35/hour+ (depending on experience)

Location: Dallas, TX 75235

Industry: Aviation

Shifts: Various Shifts Available; 1st shift is M-F, 6am-2:30pm

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
  • Minimum 5 years general aircraft maintenance work experience or substantiated experience.
  • Experience on Corporate jets preferred
  • Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
  • MUST own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory & control of tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status.
  • Ability to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled workdays and holidays
  • Ability to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside
  • Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA)
  • Ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required
  • Possess basic PC skills

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
  • Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
  • Adhere to Client General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hangar positions
  • Comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in 5-S activities.
  • Perform all work in a safe and timely manner
  • Operate ground support equipment as required
  • Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations
  • Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed
  • Assist other maintenance disciplines as needed
  • Assist with fuel and/or de-fuel of aircraft as needed
  • Assist with engine removal / installation as needed
  • Assist with aircraft component repair as needed
