Analytical Chemist II
Title: Analytical Chemist II
Location: Clearwater, FL - Local candidates only
Industry: Pharmaceutical (GMP environment)
Salary: Up to $30/hr. DOE
Shift: Mon- Fri 3:30 pm -12:00 am
Employment Type: Contract with the potential to go permanent
Job Responsibilities:
- Independently perform method validation for various drug products and perform ELISA testing
- Ability to write and execute analytical protocols, technical reports, deviation reports, change controls, test methods, SOPs
- Have a complete understanding of the development process: including knowing what is needed for analytical methods evaluation, qualification, validation and transfer
- One will perform HPLC techniques and testing various commercial batches
- Compare data to specifications. Knows how to handle of Out of Tolerance and Out of Specification situations and can handle the appropriate documentation.
- Conduct laboratory OOS investigation in accordance to internal SOP
- Provide support for ordering and maintaining inventory of laboratory material and equipment.
- Lead various analytical projects
- Minimum BS degree in chemistry, biology or other related scientific discipline required
- 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with the emphases on method validation
- Experience with pharmaceutical laboratory equipment such as HPLC and ELISA
- Dumatherm testing is a plus
- Experience with protein analytical testing
- Experience with Empower software is a plus
- Familiar or experience within CMO environment is a plus
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate critical thinking ability with experience in conducting and writing laboratory investigations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of FDA/cGMP regulated environment
