Mechanical Technician (Aviation)

Location: Sarasota 34243

Salary: $22/hour

Industry: Aviation/Manufacturing

Schedule: M-Th, 6am-4:30pm (3 day weekends!)

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Person or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of directly related technical maintenance/mechanic experience
• A&P certification is a plus
• Uses and understands component maintenance manuals and other repair specifications
• Understands and follows company quality management system procedures
• Familiar with applicable federal aviation regulations that relate directly to the work being performed

Job Duties:

• Performs hands-on maintenance tasks with complex mechanical, electrical, electronic and/or hydraulic aircraft components
• Maintenance tasks include disassembly, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, parts requisitioning, repair, assembly, and testing
• Accurately completes and takes responsibility for documentation of maintenance performed
• May also perform build of similar new components per work instructions
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Regular, predictable attendance is required

Physical Demands: Sitting 35%, Walking 10%, Standing 35%, Lifting 20%
