Aviation Overhaul Technician
Location: Sarasota, FL 34243
Salary: $22/hour
Industry: Aviation/Manufacturing
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!)
Summary:
The overhaul technician performs maintenance, repair, and overhaul of complex aircraft components.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of directly related technical maintenance/mechanic experience. Aircraft and aviation experience is a plus.
- A&P certification is a plus.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be willing to be respirator trained.
- Proficiency in using and understanding component maintenance manuals and other repair specifications.
Job Duties:
- Performing hands-on maintenance tasks on complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, and/or hydraulic aircraft components.
- Conducting maintenance activities such as disassembly, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, parts requisitioning, repair, assembly, and testing.
- Uses and understands component maintenance manuals and other repair specifications.
- Understands or willing to learn company quality management system procedures.
- Accurately documenting all maintenance activities performed and taking responsibility for the quality of documentation.
- May also participate in the build of similar new components following work instructions.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
