Title: Calibration Technician
Salary: $45/hour
Location; Panorama City, CA
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

The Calibration Technician B will utilize knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) across various disciplines, including Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, and Time & Frequency, ensuring measurement accuracy and compliance with published specifications. This role involves applying standard procedures and identifying deviations to resolve issues.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate IM&TE in one or more disciplines (e.g., Acoustical, Dimensional, Mechanical, RF/Microwave, etc.) to meet compliance standards
- Maintain calibration standards and perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision equipment
- Collect and analyze data during calibration, and prepare calibration reports and certificates
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and take corrective action, such as adjustments or component replacements
- Adapt calibration equipment and techniques to meet unique measurement needs
- Train junior staff in calibration concepts and procedures
- Ensure laboratory housekeeping and adherence to company policies
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- MUST HAVE radio frequeuncy experience
- Proficient in basic math, algebra, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
- Minimum of 1 year of calibration experience, or equivalent formal metrology training
- Basic troubleshooting and repair skills for precision equipment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, follow written procedures, and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance
- Occasional standing and bending
Working Environment:
Primarily based in a laboratory or manufacturing setting
Some travel may be required, including domestic and potential international locations
