Job Description
Metrology Technician
Salary: $20-$27/hr DOE
Industry: Dept. of Defense
Location: Tempe, AZ
Shift: 2nd shift 2PM-10:30PM
Employment Type: Contract to Permanent
Requirements:
- HS Diploma Required. AS Degree in Engineering, highly preferred.
- 2 years of direct experience required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and how to use them.
- Must possess strong computer skills, and Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with the following programs: Indysoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Met/Cal experience is highly desired.
- Previous experience with customer service is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented, team player, displays a positive attitude.
- Must have strong math skills.
- US Citizenship Required
Responsibilities:
- Calibrates and certifies Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology utilizing certified laboratory standards and manufacturer, commercial or military specifications/calibration procedures.
- Calibrates and troubleshoots fault isolation, adjustment and repairs using Test Measure Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) certified laboratory standards.
- The candidate will be required to calibrate linear dimensional hand tools and other related equipment.
