Call Center Assistant

Salary: $16-17/hr

Industry: Dept. of Defense

Location: Hamilton, NJ

Schedule: M-F 7:45AM -4:30PM

Employment Type: Temp until Nov. 29, 2024, with possible extension into 2025

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center
  • Solid, basic PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to multitask between the phone and the computer
  • Must be dependable, quick learner, and have reliable transportation
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
  • Must clear a NJ fingerprint background check
  • US Citizenship or Perm Residency required

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing superior customer service, through in-depth product knowledge, the use of decision-making skills and problem resolution processes.
  • Employees are required to learn and maneuver efficiently within the following programs so that customer inquiries and claims may be documented accurately, investigated and trended: NJMVIS Appointment System, NJMVIS Call Center Database, NJMVIS Damage Claims Database, NJMVIS Equipment Database (Hunter Dispatching), NJMVIS Station Attendance, and NJMVIS Expense Reports
  • Act as a technical liaison/advisor to the NJMVIS field locations as related to the interpretation and implementation of New Jersey Inspection Laws
  • Field incoming calls.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document customer inquiries, complaints and claims, including technical and service-related issues.
  • Monitor and maintain third floor security.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality.
