Capture Manager
Location: Orlando, FL
Industry: IT/Government Contracting
Salary: $130K- $150K
Employment Type: Contract with potential to go perm
Duties:
  • Build corporate market position and revenue by working with the Director of Client Solutions, Vice President of Business Development (VP BD) and Executive Vice President of Strategy & Development (EVP S&D) to develop, define, and close Federal business opportunities in an assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for assigned domain(s), achieving sales and revenue goals.
  • Support the success of healthy, diverse, and sustainable business development pipeline(s) of opportunities.
  • Develop client network to gain information on customer needs, initiatives and preferences.
  • Establish/develop capture plans/win strategies, technical solutions, and partnerships
  • Shape/target/pursue new business opportunities to expand the company s portfolio of business
  • Conduct competitive analysis and propose competitive solutions for new and significant work.
  • Evaluate potential teammates to ensure complete coverage of all opportunity requirements; coordinate teaming activities and decisions.
  • Identify resources required to pursue a bid and guiding bid and proposal activities
  • Conduct Gate Reviews; review and evaluate RFP requirements to support Bid/No Bid decisions.
  • Ensure development of solutions that offer competitive distinction and readily executable approaches.
  • Deliver strong financial results by driving/leading successful capture efforts.
  • Perform market and economic analyses.
  • Lead solution/offer development and writing strategies for assigned captures. Leads and supports the development of win themes; collaborates with Business Development Managers and the proposal team to develop compliant and compelling proposals.
  • Develops strategies to position for success in competitive and directed acquisitions.
  • Pursues and secures relationships with clients resulting in new direct awards and positive posture for competitive bids.
  • Reviews and analyzes RFPs and develops capture plans.
  • Qualifies and supports the selection of teaming partners for opportunities and as required, supports data calls to teaming partners related to reps and certs, pricing, capabilities statements, past performance, technical inputs, etc.
  • Develops and maintains active knowledge of service industry related to assigned portfolio through researching industry sources and related events, publications, and announcements; and tracking prospective markets, customers, and competitors.
  • Supports responses to Federal/DoD market research / sources sought / Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Attends Industry Days and Pre-proposal conferences for opportunities as required.
  • Develops professional relationships with customers in pursuit of competitive and directed acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
  • Protects the company s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Support and/or lead continual improvement of business development and bid & proposal processes and tools.
  • Other duties as required.
  • 25-35% travel
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience leading capture efforts in support of federal competitive procurements.
  • A track record of consistently winning competitive Federal services procurements.
  • Ability to maintain effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Proven success through the execution of all phases of capture efforts, including deal strategy development, solution development teaming strategy and development, proposals implementation and solution marketing
  • Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including targeting, opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits, customer relationship development, and relationship development with partner organizations.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting vehicles including GWACs and agency specific vehicles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Experience using federal opportunity sourcing tools such as SAM.Gov, FedConnect, Deltek Govwin, BGOV and others.
  • Excellent personal computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to include: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint or other document management system/version control system
  • Strong multitasking skills; ability to be flexible and agile in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong strategic analysis, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
