Overview:

Our client is now hiring an on-site construction safety manager for various electrical construction projects consisting of electric substation breaker upgrades, relay upgrades, and generating station upgrades; various civil construction projects consisting of concrete structure rehabilitations, demolitions, and earthworks; and mechanical projects consisting of equipment upgrades and overhead crane upgrades.

Requirements:

• BS Degree in a basic science or technical degree in the field of EHS management, or additional relevant experience in EH&S is required.
• Minimum 8-10+ years of related construction safety experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software (systems used are Microsoft Office, intra/internet, etc.) including helping to implement the EHS Electronic Software Platform at the site.

Duties:

• Responsible for enforcing safety programs during construction.
• Responsible for development of activity hazard assessments,
• Responsible for contractor oversight.
• Responsible for review and management of safety submittals, safety documentation, safety audits, corrective actions, field change requests and daily on-site safety meetings.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
