Contracts Specialist
Salary: $42/hr.
Location: Fort Liberty, NC (fully on-site)
Industry: Government/Defense
Employment Type: Long term contract with potential for permanent employment
Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Summary: Operations Analyst with a focus on Contract Administration
Qualifications:
- BS degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
- PD2 software experience REQUIRED
- Working knowledge of legislative and regulatory issues that may be related to the contracts you are overseeing. Handle breach of contracts in a timely manner
- Proven work experience as a Contracts Specialist or similar role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents and legal specifications
- Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.
- Active TS/SCI clearance
Responsibilities:
- Manages and reviews business contracts for financial agreements like company purchases, rental agreements, new hire contracts and business proposals.
- Negotiating contract terms and conditions with each party, analyzing potential risks involved with certain contract agreements and helping employees and leadership better understand the information outlined in the contracts.
- Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives.
- Develop and implement effective procurement proposals.
- Research regulations to ensure contracts are updated and in compliance with laws.
- Coordinate with clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the terms and regulations.
