Client Overview:
For over five decades, our client has been recognized as the world s largest and most trusted producer of Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) eggs and adjacent laboratory products and services for the development and manufacture of biologics and vaccines that are used for both human and animal health. Our client supplies leading manufacturers with critical bioprocessing inputs, including SPF eggs, antigens, and cell products. In addition, offer numerous diagnostic testing and manufacturing support services, including virus propagation and isolation, custom cell production, and quality control testing. Our client supports the development of new therapeutics by providing antibodies such as IgY for use in clinical trials.
Position Overview:
Provide dependable support to the CFO and the Accounting and Finance Department. Coordinate with leadership to define and maintain the accounting policies and processes of the business while managing the daily requirements of the F&A group.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close including foreign currency translation
Assist with the recording of general ledger entries for foreign entities
Ensure the timely recording and reporting of all monthly financial information
Collaborate with the F&A leadership to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Responsible for maintaining an appropriate internal control environment
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of revenues and expenses
Support annual budget and monthly forecasting activities
Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
Complete monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
Assist in the daily banking requirements and cash management
Support tax management including sales & use tax, statutory reporting, & VAT
Oversee fixed asset system and related depreciation/amortization activity
ERP master data management
Respond to inquiries from Company-wide executives
Support overall department goals and objectives
Complete special projects as needed
Assist in the management, growth, and development of employees, including recruiting, hiring, creation of goals/reviews, training, and evaluation
Source, assess, select, recommend, and manage external contacts, including vendors, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and service providers
Prepare and present financials and key indicators for business reviews, management reporting, budget, and strategic planning
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in accounting.
Six to ten years prior controllership experience (with supervisory experience)
CPA certification required
Prior NetSuite experience required
Private Equity backed company experience preferred.
Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a high-performance setting
Advance computer skills using MS Office and accounting software
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
Valid driver s license required.
