Digital Archivist

Salary: Up to $40/hr.

Location: Fort Bragg, NC

Industry: Government/Defense

Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential for permanent employment

Clearance: Active TS/SCI

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience with Record/Materials Management
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and training to customers regarding best security practices.
  • Review classified documents for declassification and/or release.
  • Liaise with Records Management, Information Security, and Freedom of Information Act representative to manage and preserve the Command history.
  • Review documents for appropriate markings and correct security classification guide application
  • Advise and provide guidance to other Departments and Agencies regarding application of Security Classification Guides, Executive Orders (E.O.), Intelligence Security Directives, applicable policy, and implementation guides.
  • Conduct research into regulations, policies, and E.O. to provide solid guidance regarding security.
  • Responsibly handle, store, reproduce documents and items of historical significance and properly destroy unneeded classified and unclassified materials.
  • Utilize various types of media equipment to digitize historically significant photos, slides, recordings, and documents (on paper, in the cloud, and elsewhere).
  • Accomplish other historically-related duties as assigned.
