Job Description
DoD Subcontracts Buyer
Salary: $25-$27/hr
Type: Contract to hire
Location: Houston, TX 77002
Industry: Defense/Engineering
Schedule: Partially Remote
Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree and 1+ years of relevant experience
- DoD or government subcontracts experience required
- Knowledge of NAICS codes desired
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel specifically)
- Exceptional attention to detail, data-driven mindset and analytical problem solver
- Must be fully vaccinated
Responsibilities:
- Review procurement files to generate subcontract closeout documents and change orders to ensure compliance prior to issuance and closeout of each file to mitigate risk and liability to the company.
- Work with functional areas to obtain information and documentation needed for closeout.
- Ensure subcontract files are in accordance with established procedures prior to closeout.
- Track progress and provide status of assigned closeouts.
- This is a temporary to hire opportunity for the right candidate and based on performance
