Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: Up to $72/hr.

Location: Grand Prairie, TX (fully on-site)

Industry: Government/Defense

Employment Type: Long-term contract with the potential for permanent hire

Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance

Qualifications:

• BS Degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Electrical Troubleshooting, Hardware Integration, and Schematics REQUIRED
• Experience with board test, performance evaluation, and integration in a lab environment is required.
• Experience with circuit card designs with FPGAs, microcontrollers, and other sophisticated integrated chips.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and board layout tools required; preferably Mentor Graphics/Siemens Xpedition.
• Must be capable of using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and electronic loads for testing.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance

Responsibilities:

• Develop, integrate, and troubleshoot electrical interfaces for analog digital, and mixed board assemblies.
• Participate in system integration, test, and debug.
• Work with circuit card designers, system engineers, and mechanical design engineers to support board development, testing, and integration activities.
• Support program design reviews for design assurance.
• Work with electronic packaging engineers and power supply engineers.
