Available Shifts: Mon- Fri 7am-3:30pm
Pay Range: $25-$30 hr. DOE
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Position Summary
The Electrical/Facilities Technician at this company is responsible for providing safe, timely and cost-effective repairs to machinery and facilities. This position will be completing scheduled/unscheduled equipment & facilities maintenance and repairs which will support efficient plant operations, minimizes production down time, and ensures that products are manufactured in a safe and cost-effective environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Troubleshoot & remedy problems with manufacturing equipment and controls systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance to equipment to assure efficient and long-term trouble-free operation.
- Respond to any maintenance and facility emergency that occurs on the off shifts and make necessary corrections.
- Use Reliability Centered Maintenance principles to analyze key equipment data to choose proper maintenance approach.
- Assist with external contractors to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain and prioritize work lists.
- Purchase and receive parts and tools.
- Asset Management System input.
- HS Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of (2) years of experience or Associates Degree with (1) years experience required.
- 1-year minimum certified schooling or classes equal to 1 year in electrical, high voltage, HVAC or electrical technology
- Experience must be in a manufacturing environment in the areas of facility maintenance, machine maintenance and repair, equipment installation, and computerized preventative maintenance or trade.
- Proficient use of electrical and mechanical hand and tools required.
- Requires ability to lift 60 lbs., climb ladders and work at heights 10-20 feet above plant floor plus working on the roofs of the various buildings.
- Trade experience preferred.
- Ability to become versed in all trades/facility repairs.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Flexibility to daily roles required.
- Must be able to work with all other departments: Quality, Operations, Logistics etc.
- On call weekend rotation, typically once a month, and flexibility with team required.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong root cause abilities, and excellent communication.
- Self-motivated, team-player, able to quickly adapt.
- Integrity, safety and quality oriented.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Knowledge of PLCs, troubleshooting controls systems, HVAC, and boilers.
- Knowledge of Lean principles.
- Electrical troubleshooting.
- Willingness to learn.
- Industrial/Manufacturing experience.
