Job Description
Design Engineer / Checker
Salary: Up to $62/hr.
Location: Fort Worth, TX (100% on-site)
Industry: Government/Defense
Employment Type: Long term contract with potential for permanent employment
Clearance: Ability to obtain
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in an Engineering discipline (mechanical, aeronautical, chemical, etc)
- CATIA experience
- Experience with ASME Y14.100 Drawings, and Y14.5 GD&T, prior drawing and model checking, design, and engineering change process experience
- Successful candidate must be able to work in a model centric environment and should be efficient with PC operations and MS Office Suite
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment where critical and tight schedules are common and must be met with quality results
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and investigate pertinent design factors on F-16 retrofit and production engineering design, 3-D models and drawings including all related design data.
- Identify design compatibility errors and verify all features are of one interpretation, complete and adequate for downstream users.
- Ensure the engineering design, models/drawings and related data meet all contractual, company, and Program requirements.
- Utilize working knowledge and application experience of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing based on ASME Y14.5 along with ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices.
- Utilize working knowledge and application experience on a computer aided design system with 3D experience. y results.
