Engineering Lab Technician
Salary: $18-$22/hour
Location: Sarasota, FL 34243
Industry: Aerospace/Manufacturing
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in Industrial or Aircraft Maintenance.
- 2 years of electrical experience or an Associate's Degree in engineering technologies (or a related field).
- Ability to list down all the steps necessary to run a test with the test technician.
- Ability to use a template; adding pictures and schematics to explain test procedures.
- Basic understanding of Ohms Laws, currents, AC/DC, etcetera required.
- Ability to use electrical and measurement devices (DMM, Power Supplies, Hi-Pot tester, Oscilloscope).
- Ability to read and understand MIL Specs and International Standards (AS, DO-160).
- Basic knowledge in Electricity (Generators, AC, DC, Resistances, Inductances).
- Knowledge and ability to create Electrical Drawings (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Soldering skills (IPC Certification).
- As an Aircraft Engineering Test Technician your responsibilities will include:Run electrical tests, vibrations tests, element tests, to military standards provided by the US government.
- Assisting in test stand setup for aircraft engineering testing.
- Assessing the condition of current testing equipment and documenting findings.
- Performing preventative maintenance on testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assisting in the documentation of testing equipment, including specifications and drawings.
- Collaborating on the creation and updating of electrical drawings for consoles and equipment.
- Conducting calibrations as needed and revising documentation accordingly.
- Implementing and maintaining 6S standards to promote efficiency, organization, and safety in the workplace.
