Environmental Manager

Location: Maui, HI

Salary: $110k - $140k/yr.

Clearance: Active Secret

Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in environmental science or engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in environmental field and is corporately trained on applicable Federal and State requirements regarding environmental protection, transportation, labeling and spill response requirements.
  • Experience implementing, executing and maintaining an environmental quality program including compliance, conservation and pollution prevention.
  • Experience with eDASH or similar enterprise level platform.
  • Experience preparing agendas and briefing materials and recording meeting minutes.
  • Active secret clearance.

Duties:

  • Comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and standards.
  • Implement, execute and maintain the installation environmental quality program including compliance, conservation and pollution prevention.
  • Provide environmental services and qualified manpower to accomplish all requirements.
  • Assist with the maintenance and identification of environmental aspects, impacts, and action plans.
  • Complete environmental management plans in the Tool for Environmental Management Plans (T-EMP) tool through eDASH or similar enterprise level platform.
  • Facilitate Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Council (ESOHC) Meetings (participate as non-voting members).
  • Support Environmental Planning, Programming and Budgeting. Submit environmental quality requirements, including compliance, conservation, and pollution prevention.
  • Conduct or assist Internal Compliance Self-Assessments annually.
  • Manage the Environmental Impact Analysis Process (EIAP) and submit all EIAP documents, for example, environmental impact statements, environmental assessments, Environmental Baseline Surveys, and categorical exclusions to the ESOHC for approval of actions.
  • Prepare EIAP planning, analysis, air conformity analysis and documentation to support all Installation activities including engineering work orders, projects, real property actions and in-house work plans.
  • Review and coordinate on all design and construction work orders for engineering projects and provide feedback to ensure incorporation of all applicable environmental requirements.
  • Review all permits and permitting requirements and potentially applicable federal, state, and local requirements as necessary to ensure compliance conditions are met, for both current mission operations and projected missions.
  • Act as the liaison office for air quality compliance and resource management issues with regulatory agencies, and with both internal and external audit or assessment personnel.
  • Provide education and training, to include Air Management Training, Air Source Operator Training, and shop level training to meet applicable federal, state, and local air quality compliance requirements.
  • Report actions, spills and inspections to the Installation/Site Commander/USAFLO
  • Account for and track all HAZMAT on the Installation at a level sufficient to meet environmental reporting requirements and support fire protection, ESOH, and disaster response efforts.
  • Implement, execute, and maintain the Hazardous Waste Management Plan (HWMP) including Site Waste Stream Process Descriptors, Initial Accumulation Points (IAP) locations, Appointment of IAP Managers and Waste Profile Information.
  • Perform all Sampling Analysis for all waste streams, petroleum, oil, lubricants, and fluids.
  • Manage the installation environmental program including control and oversight of Solid Waste (SW) disposal, management of landfills and required sampling and analysis. Maintain all SW records for active and closed landfills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
