About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and leadership-oriented Military Vehicle Technician to serve as a Field Service Representative in support of U.S. Department of Defense operations in the United Arab Emirates.
This is a 2-year contract position with a primary focus on the sustainment and maintenance of the Flyer 72 and other military wheeled vehicles. In this role, you will perform hands-on technical work and lead a team of 6 12 mechanics in a high-tempo environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician ready to take on leadership responsibilities while living and working overseas.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and leadership-oriented Military Vehicle Technician to serve as a Field Service Representative in support of U.S. Department of Defense operations in the United Arab Emirates.
This is a 2-year contract position with a primary focus on the sustainment and maintenance of the Flyer 72 and other military wheeled vehicles. In this role, you will perform hands-on technical work and lead a team of 6 12 mechanics in a high-tempo environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician ready to take on leadership responsibilities while living and working overseas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of 6 12 mechanics in the daily maintenance, repair, and sustainment of military wheeled vehicles, with primary emphasis on the Flyer 72, Humvee (HMMWV), MRAPs, and related tactical platforms.
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, powertrains, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, hydraulics, and armor-related components.
- Oversee field-level and sustainment maintenance, vehicle testing, recovery operations, and quality inspections to ensure maximum operational readiness.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to team members while ensuring all work complies with technical manuals, DoD standards, and safety protocols.
- Document all maintenance actions, parts usage, and service records using MS Office tools and required digital systems.
- Manage team schedules and workflow to meet mission requirements, often working in shop or field environments under demanding conditions.
- Work a standard 40-hour work week while OCONUS, with occasional flexibility as mission needs dictate.
- Minimum 3 5 years of hands-on experience repairing and troubleshooting military wheeled vehicles.
- At least 1,000 documented hours of maintenance, repair, or sustainment work specifically on the Flyer 72 vehicle.
- Demonstrated leadership experience supervising or leading teams of mechanics (experience leading 6+ personnel strongly preferred).
- Strong proficiency in basic diesel engine mechanics, fuel systems, electrical systems, and military vehicle components.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance (required).
- Prior military experience as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (91B or equivalent MOS) is highly desired.
- Proficiency with standard mechanic tools, diagnostic equipment, and MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
- Willingness to deploy OCONUS for a 2-year contract in the UAE.
- Previous OCONUS or deployed experience supporting DoD vehicle maintenance contracts.
- Formal military or technical school training in diesel or automotive technology.
- Additional experience with Humvee, MRAP, or other lightweight tactical vehicle platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced, austere environments.
- 2-year contract with opportunity for extension.
- 40-hour work week while OCONUS.
- Apartment and vehicle provided for the duration of the assignment in the UAE.
