As the Human Resources Generalist, you ll support key HR functions within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. From onboarding new hires to coordinating employee engagement programs and supporting training initiatives, you ll help ensure a seamless employee experience while learning the foundations of HR compliance, data management, and organizational development. You ll be mentored by seasoned HR professionals and gain exposure to HR systems, reporting, employee relations, and corporate compliance all while contributing to a global mission focused on safety, innovation, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee training on all aspects (smartsheet/Skill Power), being the point of contact for all managers and training providers (internal & external providers, etc.). Gather attendance sheets and storing them safely in employee folders in preparation of audits, ensure compliance with industry standards (critical skills/single point of failures) conduct gap analyses, coordinate software launches, generate reports (number of hours done/dollars spent VS training budget for the year), and foster partnerships with production teams and support functions.
  • Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain and support broad knowledge of HR legal requirements and adhere to policies/procedures to enforce.
  • Perform and support time keeping system, HRIS (ADP/Seila) and numerous reports (local, divisional and global)
  • Recruit, screen, and interview internal and external applicants and supports HR KPI for time to fill
  • Compile statistical reporting for the department, corporate, and regulatory agencies
  • Conduct full cycle onboarding process (I-9s, export documents, background checks, new hire packets, employee check-ins)
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Advise employee and management personnel on the interpretation of basic personnel policies, programs, and procedures
  • Support the organization of employee engagement events and communication to sites
  • Participate in coordination of annual enrollment and Wellness program
  • Propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of human resources and operations
  • Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture
  • Administer rewards and recognition program and provides guidance to leadership on program use
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (students nearing graduation or recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Internship or experience focusing on an HR function and/or training, customer service
  • Coursework or interest in employment law, organizational behavior, or HR operations preferred.
  • Ability to run and analyze HR reports and data
  • Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)
  • Ability to understand an HRIS systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Capable of completing a task with minimal direction and oversight. Ability to manage confidential information
  • Capable of providing input on process improvement
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented culture.
