Job Description

HR Director

Salary: $130k-$140k
Location: Fulton, MD
Industry: Dept. of Defense

Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years in HR Management within the Government contracting industry
  • Needs experience managing an organization with an expected 100-250 new full-time employees expected over the next 2 years
  • Prior experience creating policies and procedures for a rapidly growing company
Duties:
  • Manages a team of 2 HR Generalists and 3 Recruiters
  • Implements programs through Human Resources to monitor administration to standards, identify opportunities, and resolves discrepancies
  • Selects and coordinates use of Human Resources consultants, insurance brokers, insurance carriers, pension administrators, training specialists, labor counsel, and other outside sources
  • Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep top management informed of new developments
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage & Hour, etc.). Monitors exposure of the company
  • Leads the preparation of information requested or required for compliance and acts as primary contact with labor counsel and outside government agencies
