Lab Technician
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Industry: Pharmaceutical
Hours: M - F - Day Shift
Salary: $25.00/HR. paid weekly
Employment Type: Long Term Contract
Job Summary
Job Duties
- Washing glassware
- Calibrating pH / conductivity meters
- Preparing solutions and reagents
- Ordering and stocking general laboratory supplies
- Inventory and routine clean outs of freezers and cold rooms
- Package pick-up from shipping/receiving
- Packaging and autoclaving parts
- Help with routine upkeep of analyzers and laboratory instruments (NOVA FLEX2, pH/conductivity meter, ViCell, SoloVPE, AKTA Avant)
- Assist with laboratory 6S initiatives
- Help coordinate equipment repairs and calibrations
- Assist Scientist level personnel with basic study work, instrument set-up, routine testing and sampling
- Complete checklists for laboratory housekeeping
- Obtain quotes and lead times from vendors for study materials
Job Skills and Experience
- This is an entry level position, but a background in Biology/Biotech is required.
- BS degree is preferred.
- The ideal candidate would be a recent grad or someone with 0-3 yrs experience working in a laboratory environment (academia or industry.)
