Lead Manufacturing Operator

Salary: $28.75/hr.
Employment Type: Contract with potential for permanent hire

Hours: 3rd shift, M-F 10pm-6:30am, (training will be up to 4 weeks, M-TH 3:30pm-2am, 10 hour days) with possible OT including weekends

As a Lead Manufacturing Operator, you ll play a critical role in overseeing and executing key production processes, including blending, coating, and slitting operations. You ll be responsible for setting up and operating specialized equipment while ensuring compliance with strict cGMP standards and internal SOPs. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with a sharp eye for quality, safety, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate blending, coating, and slitting operations on your assigned shift.
  • Ensure operations meet production targets, quality specifications, and all cGMP/SOP standards.
  • Perform equipment set-up and troubleshoot issues to keep processes running efficiently.
  • Train and support operators to maintain smooth shift transitions and strong performance.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Act as a hands-on leader promoting teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5+ years experience in a blending environment
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with strict documentation requirements
  • Leadership experience and the ability to work under moderate supervision
  • Must be comfortable working in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
  • Physically able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and lift/move 50 lbs as needed
