Low Voltage Cable Technician

Salary: Up to $75k/yr.
Location: Cheyenne, WY (Warren AFB)
Industry: Government/Defense

Clearance: Fingerprint Required

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years in a Technician Role
  • Low Voltage experience REQUIRED
  • Fiber experience highly desired
  • 2+ years of experience in the commercial building construction industry related to: Structured Cabling, Security, Access Control, CCTV, A/V, Paging. Nurse Call, Sound Masking
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
  • Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time
  • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in high places and in confined places
  • Work sites vary from finished space interiors to new construction sites. Appropriate dress according to the work environment is required
Responsibilities:
  • Installing, but not limited to Card readers, door contacts, motion Rex, Intercoms, Motion Detectors, Glass Breaks, Speakers, Nurse Call lights, Push Buttons, and Patient Stations.
  • Installing and terminating all Low Voltage cabling.
  • Terminating, testing, and labeling end-user devices. Comm room build-out.
  • Utilizing industry standards and company-approved installation methods and techniques.
  • Ensuring all work complies with applicable AHJ codes and industry standards.
  • Ensuring plans, specs, and wiring diagrams are adhered to.
  • Maintaining open communication with direct superior ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
  • Following and maintaining proper safety practices.
