MRO Aviation Test Technician

Salary: $22-$24/hr based on experience

Location: Sarasota, FL

Industry: Aerospace / Defense

Employment Type: Contract with potential to go perm

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am to 430pm (Enjoy 3-day weekends!)

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience as a generator test technician in an industrial, aviation, or military organization OR an electrical certificate from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Ability to Read, Write and understand English.
  • Proficient in writing reports for quality
  • Above average ability to troubleshoot complex mechanisms
  • Above average ability to read and comprehend detailed technical drawings and maintenance instructions
  • ITAR: This position requires use of information or access to hardware, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Essential Functions

  • Perform repetitive testing, confirm in process inspection operations with minimum instructions and complete all associated test paperwork required. This includes ATE testing, IR, and Dielectric testing.
  • Assists supervisors in troubleshooting/resolving test failures. Maintains various production and test equipment.
  • Above average understanding of electrical/electronic principles including ohm s law.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to a 6S standard.
  • Operates and understands a FIFO approach to testing.
  • Has an understanding of company quality management system procedures.
  • Accurately completes and takes responsibility for documentation of testing performed.
  • May also perform build of similar new components per work instructions, for testing purposes.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical/hydraulic power diagrams.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
