Machinist

  • Schedule: M-TH 6AM-4:30PM + Rotating Fridays 6AM-3:30PM
  • Location: Port Orange, FL 32128
  • Duration: Temporary 3 months with potential to extend depending on business needs
  • Pay: $22.50/hour
Build what's next in simulator manufacturing
The machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating both manual milling machines and CNC routers to manufacture precision parts in accordance with company specifications and procedures. This opportunity requires a balanced skill set in manual machining and CNC router programming and operation to support a wide range of production needs.

What You ll Be Doing:
  • Follow instructions set forth on the latest revision-controlled drawings and documentation
  • Set up and operate manual milling machines to produce precision parts
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC routers for production jobs
  • Load parts and tooling onto manual and CNC machines as required
  • Verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments and perform deburring to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot machining and CNC programming issues as needed
  • Rework parts using manual machines for production as required
  • Support engineering efforts by creating prototype parts and having input on design
  • Optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality across both manual and CNC operations
  • Assist in building mechanical assemblies, as required
What You ll Bring:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of machine shop experience, including a mix of both manual machining and CNC router operation/programming
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with CNC router programming (G-code or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience with CNC machining centers and Anilam controllers a plus.
  • Additional experience with multi-axis CNC equipment a plus.
  • A mindset focused on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Additional Details:
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, and lifting (up to 30 lbs regularly)
  • Work Environment is primarily climate-controlled and occasionally a non-climate controlled environment. May be exposed to risk of electrical shock.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
