Manufacturing Accountant

Salary: $24-$27/hr

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related fields highly desired
• Good interpersonal skills necessary within a small Finance Team
• High level of proficiency using computers and related software in performing tasks specifically setting up spreadsheets formulas, linking spreadsheets, developing graphs.
• Some understanding of information systems, SAP experience preferred.
• Some working knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and local statutory requirements.
• Intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability, working with cross function expertise.

Duties:

• Handle Internal and External Finance Mail
• Review & update Work Flow Purchase Requisitions for GL coding and approval accuracy & update Budget / YTD spend.
• Resolve Basic AR & AP Queries with Shared Services Centre
• Purchasing Card Analysis - Coding & Review
• Monitor group email box and address requests for assistance
• Maintain Accounting files and documentation
• Prepare and Post Month End Journal Entries
• Prepare and Review General Ledger accounts Reconciliations
• Demonstrate a commitment to achieving continuous improvement and total quality in the performance of all assigned duties and around the business.
• Participates and assists in internal audits. Assist in internal control reviews, and create and maintain documentation of systems, processes, and procedures used in daily standard work.
• Support monthly closing, the forecasting process and the annual planning process as applicable.
• Participate and assist in annual physical inventory ensuring compliance with corporate procedures and accuracy of physical count.
• Prepare and Post the Monthly Sales & Use Tax claim.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Regular, predictable attendance is required.
• Physical Demands: 70% Sitting / 20% Standing / 10% Walking & Lifting
• Work Environment: Office setting with moderate office noise. This position sits and performs computer work for extended periods.
