Material Transport and Logistics Driver

- Title: Material Transport and Logistics Driver
- Location: Brooksville, FL
- Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm (4) 10-hour shifts with (1) 30-min lunch break
- Salary: Up to $20.00/hr.
- Employment Type: Contract to permanent
Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles (box trucks, pick-up trucks, etc.) to transport materials, components, and finished goods between nearby facilities.
- Load and unload pallets, rolls of foil/paper, and finished goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Wrap and prepare pallets for secure shipment and staging.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently (certification required or ability to become certified).
- Perform routine inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Input transactions into a software-based ERP system (SYSPRO) with attention to detail.
- Support cross-departmental operations by ensuring that materials are where they need to be when they need to be there.
- Follow all safety protocols, cGMP standards, and SOP guidelines.
- Communicate proactively with the Materials Manager and production teams to meet shipping/receiving schedules and daily goals.
- Prior experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics support role.
- Hands-on experience driving box trucks (26,000 lbs. or more preferred) must be eligible or willing to obtain a Florida Class B Driver s License.
- Skilled in forklift operation with certification (or ability to certify).
- Familiar with ERP or inventory management systems (preferred).
- Physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Steel-toe boots may be required for safety compliance.
